Central Square Florist carries a large selection of succulents and cacti here in Boston, MA. We carry a variety of different kinds including hens and chicks. Succulents are popular because they are both beautifulĀ and easy to care for. What make’s them easy to care for is that they don’t need to be watered very often and just need light. In the summer succulents should be watered more often than in the winter. I suggest watering succulents once every two weeks in the summertime and about once a month in the winter. Despite being from the desert, succulents do handle cold fine.
Succulents make a beautiful, simple centerpiece for parties. Their earthy, neutral tone makes it easy for them to match any color scheme. We can pot them by themselves or group them together and make a garden. Below are some examples of custom succulent and cacti gardens we have made for different events/parties.

Succulent & Cacti garden made custom for the The Boxer Hotel Boston
The succulent and cacti garden pictured above was made custom for the Boxer Hotel Boston. It was for the front desk of the hotel. A garden like this is makes for a visually pleasing and easy to care for focal point for a business. This one was made in a 4×12 round glass vase. The vase also comes in a slightly smaller 4×10 vase. This is also low enough to be a centerpiece on a round-table for an event.
Since the weather has been so warm I’ve started putting succulents on display outside the shop on the sidewalk on Massachusetts Avenue in Central Square. Below isĀ a photo of the display I put out during Cambridge Art’s River Festival a couple of weeks ago.
