It’s Easter time, and we here at Central Square Florist are getting our baskets ready. We don’t mean the kind filled with Peeps and chocolate bunnies, but instead the kind that are blossoming with blooms or that boast a bulb garden. We love the kind stuffed with sweets, don’t get us wrong, but there’s just something about designing right into a basket, which is so emblematic of the season. Ever since ancient farmers first carried their seedlings in baskets to be blessed for spring, we’ve associated baskets with this season.

We’ve planted a veritable Bulb Garden into our favorite basket, a traditional white-wash from which spring’s best flowers bloom. Tulips, daffodil and hyacinth are just some of the flowering bulbs you might encounter here, growing from a rustic bed of moss.
