The Flower Stories We’ll Never Forget

Central Square Florist knows that everyone has that story about a time when flowers really mattered. Is there any other gift that makes as many appearances as flowers do during the meaningful moments of our lives? We think not, and we should know. We become involved in the most important events of our customer’s lives by virtue of the fact that we provide fresh flowers, the one thing that we turn to, again and again, to express what we can’t express, to cheer and congratulate, to remember and console. Today, we’re sharing one customer story of how flowers and gift baskets moved her and her family deeply.

“The wall of flowers and plants on the altar and lining the vestibule of the church is one of my most vivid memories of my uncle’s funeral. He hadn’t been sick long, and he wasn’t old enough that his death was expected. Having lived in multiple cities and traveled all over the country for work, many people who were able to make the trip to Atlanta for his service made arrangements to be there on a rush. Nearly every pew in the church was full.

As we gathered for the service, we were all so touched by the outpouring of affection and appreciation from people all over the country, expressed in cards attached to plant and flower baskets that seemed to fill in to represent the people who couldn’t be there. And for some, card messages expressed what was too painful to say in person.

Reading the cards, along with my aunts and cousins, we gained a greater appreciation for how many lives John had touched and how fondly he would be remembered by people whom I’d never met. Those remembrances and condolences  will always be cherished and appreciated by all who were there to gather in his honor that day.”
